In order to protect the interests of the atomic industry, the AEIA still dares to put forward the ridiculous figure of 50 victims due to Chernobyl’s catastrophe. In the meantime, Kofi Annan, the former general secretary of the UN, has estimated that more than 7 million people had been seriously affected by the disaster.

Why such a denial of the truth?

50 years ago, in 1959, WHO an the IAEA signed an agreement which is the tangible proof of a complicity as well as a scandalous submission of WHO towards the IAEA.

In order to inform the public of this situation, the team for WHO’s independence (’’Independent WHO") was created in 2006.

The lookout action, which was initiated by this team, takes place at the entrance of WHO’s office in Geneva and started on April, 26th, 2007. It is still going on today.

On April, 26th, 2009, this action will have been carried on for 24 months, taking place every working day from 8 am to 6 pm.

The aim of this action is to denounce the complicity between WHO and the IAEA in its crime of failure to render assistance to the population touched by radioactive contaminations and to call for WHO’s independence (so as it can carry out the mission assigned by its constitution). Besides this outlook, the team is conducting other actions, such as the call towards the professionals for WHO’s independence.

For WHO’s independence and for the truth on the effects of the radioactive contaminations on health, act now.
